Because there is so much information about green products and actions, we can’t list everything that's available on our resource pages. We have to be selective.
Here are the criteria we use when deciding what to include on our lists:
- Practical - People can use this information to contribute to the health of the planet.
- Credible - The information is written by someone who has considerable knowledge and/or training in the field. The source (including the publisher or the web site host) is trustworthy.
- Local - Our focus is on information that can be used here in Red Deer. We prefer to use local sources, but may use provincial and national sources as well. If the information is specialized or particularly notable, we may go farther afield.
- Current - Because the field changes so rapidly, we prefer to use material that is as up-to-date as possible. We will feature information on web sites only if they are updated reasonably regularly.
Please note that we are unlikely to feature retail sites here.

Resources for you to consider
Hello Rediscover Green,
may I suggest the Kerry Wood Nature Centre Blog (waskasoopark.blogspot.com), facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=76141171395) and Twitter Feed (@NatureCentre) as resources for Rediscover Green readers.
The blog and twitter feed are updated regularly and have information pertaining to local environmental issues, local wildlife & nature, environmental education programming, job announcements, articles... all written by the staff at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre.
The facebook group is an on-line community where members can share ideas and resources; moderated by two Nature Centre staff members.
Let us know if you need clarification or more information.
Thanks

Waskasoo Environmental Education Society Site
Todd,
Thank you for reminding me to add the site for Waskasoo Environmental Education Society. Because we're trying to keep the web page simple, I added the site with its straight forward links to your blog and twitter feed, rather than adding three separate links. Your Natural Selections blog is stunning and it is a pleasure to share this blog with others.
